I bought this one to replace a previous and cheaper bike, I should have bought this one first! First day with it I went for a 26 km ride and loved every minute! The hydraulic disc brakes are easy to apply, the bike is light enough to load into my car, the front wheel comes off easily when I need to store it. I am still quite upright when sitting in the seat so there is no back/wrist pain like I had on my previous bike.
I do mostly bike paths and trails. I also enjoy 30, 40 and 50 mile events. I am not fast, I just go and love every minute. Lighter than a hybrid, tougher than a road bike.
This is the first trek I have owned and it is a great bike overall. Excellent shifting and braking.
